An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for North East Lincolnshire Council based in Grimsby. This is a temporary Social Worker role within the Children with Disabilities Team.

In this role you will benefit from a competitive hourly rate of up to £35 per hour umbrella, dependent on experience whilst having the opportunity to work in a professional and vibrant environment.

Working within the CWD Team includes but is not limited to:

* Holding a caseload of Children in Need under Section 17 of the Children's Act of 1989 and children subject to Child Protection Plans
* Undertaking Initial Assessments and Core Assessments under Section 17 of the Children's Act of 1989
* Undertaking Parenting Assessments and Risk Assessments
* Undertaking Educational Needs Assessments
* Carrying out home visits for monitoring purposes/to promote the welfare of and to safeguard the children
* Liaising/ Working close with partnership agencies to support the families and meet the children/ young peoples needs
* Convening and chairing Core Group Meetings
* Producing Initial Child Protection Conference reports
* Initiating and implementing Child Protection Plans
* Applying for and obtaining Emergency Protection Orders
* Reviewing Financial payments received by kinship carers/ or carers granted Residence Orders/Special Guardianship Orders
* Organising/managing packages of support and packages of care
* Arranging short breaks
* Providing Section 17 support to families and children in need
* Attending court and giving evidence when required
* Initiating and completion of Care Proceedings

For this position you will need hold a recognised social work qualification and be SWE registered, as well as have at least 3 years post qualifying experience.
