Join our dedicated Families First Team in Durham as a Children’s Team Member, where you will play a critical role in supporting families and children in need. As a qualified social worker, you will engage with families to assess their needs, develop tailored support plans, and implement interventions that promote the well-being and safety of children. Your expertise will help foster positive relationships, empower families, and facilitate access to essential resources.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of children's and families' needs.
- Developing and implementing individualized care and support plans.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including health, education, and community services.
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of casework activities.
- Providing guidance and support to families to enhance their parenting skills and resilience.
- Participating in training and supervision to continuously improve practice.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work).
- Registered with the relevant professional body (e.g., Social Work England).
- Experience in child protection, family support, or related fields.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with families.
- Excellent organizational skills and the capacity to manage a diverse caseload.
