London Borough of Harrow - QSW/Sr QSW - First Response Team
The London Borough of Harrow is seeking dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Workers (QSW) and Senior Qualified Social Workers (Sr QSW) to join our dynamic First Response Team. You will be at the forefront of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, working in a fast-paced environment where your expertise will be invaluable in assessing and addressing the needs of vulnerable families.
As a member of our First Response Team, your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting initial assessments and investigations in response to referrals regarding children in need or at risk.
- Working collaboratively with families, professionals, and partner agencies to develop and implement effective intervention plans.
- Providing high-quality case management and maintaining accurate case records in accordance with local policies and procedures.
- Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to the development of safeguarding strategies.
- Supporting and mentoring junior staff and students, fostering a culture of learning and development within the team.
The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Strong knowledge of child protection legislation and safeguarding practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and assessment skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a diverse caseload.
