The London Borough of Harrow is seeking dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Workers (QSW) and Senior Qualified Social Workers (Sr QSW) to join our dynamic First Response Team. As a member of our First Response Team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting initial assessments and investigations in response to referrals regarding children in need or at risk.
  • Working collaboratively with families, professionals, and partner agencies to develop and implement effective intervention plans.
  • Providing high-quality case management and maintaining accurate case records in accordance with local policies and procedures.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to the development of safeguarding strategies.
  • Supporting and mentoring junior staff and students, fostering a culture of learning and development within the team.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Strong knowledge of child protection legislation and safeguarding practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and assessment skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a diverse caseload.
