Devon - Advanced Social Worker - LAC/CIC
Join our dedicated team in Devon as an Advanced Social Worker specializing in Looked After Children (LAC) and Children in Care (CIC). In this vital role, you will be responsible for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing tailored care plans for LAC/CIC.
- Working collaboratively with families, schools, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for children.
- Providing expert advice and support to junior social workers and team members.
- Conducting regular reviews of care plans, adjusting strategies as necessary to meet the evolving needs of children.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with local authority policies.
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent).
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Significant experience working with LAC/CIC and a strong understanding of relevant legislation and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
