As a Children’s Social Worker within the Family Support Team, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting assessments of children's and families' needs and risks.
  • Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
  • Providing ongoing support and guidance to families, ensuring they have access to necessary resources.
  • Working closely with schools, healthcare providers, and community organizations to coordinate services.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to child protection conferences.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent).
  • Current registration with Social Care Wales.
  • Experience working with children and families in a social work setting.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
