Job description

Eden Brown Synergy is currently recruiting for NWAS, The North Wales Adoption Service (NWAS) provides a regional adoption service on behalf of the local authority areas of Wrexham, Flintshire, Denbighshire, Conwy, Gwynedd and Anglesey.

In accordance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures, NWAS is responsible for the recruitment and assessment of adopters, the matching and placement of children with adoptive families and for providing a range of support services for adopted families in accordance with assessed needs. Social workers within the service are required to undertake assessments within statutory timescales prepare reports, advise and support potential adopters attend Adoption Panels to present Prospective Adopters Reports and work in partnership with statutory and voluntary organisations to ensure the needs of adoptive families are met and the best outcomes are achieved for children requiring adoptive placements.

The post holders will be responsible for the delivery of high quality adoption social work in line with statute, regulation and guidance

To apply for this position you must have:
- At least 2 years post-qualification experience (and 5 years of references)
- Social work degree or equivalent (MA/BA/BSc in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work or CQSW)
- Social Work Registration
- Full, clean driving licence
