An excellent opportunity has been made available by my client, an established housing provider in Northamptonshire for a Traveller Site Officer on a initial three month contract with 28.5 hours per week.

The pay rate for this role is £14.14 PAYE Or £17.62 Umbrella.

This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check.

MAIN AREAS OF WORK: Undertake a regular fire safety audit of the site and deal with any breach of Regulations.

As a Traveller Site Officer, you will be required to devise and record a programme of inspections to include all communal areas and individual plots. Review and ensure compliance with the requirements placed on the organisation as Landlord by the Mobile Home Act and other legislation.

Part of your role will be to investigate availability and bid for external funding grants that are available.

In addition to this, you will be required to identify and deal with breaches of license agreement and take appropriate enforcement action.

You will need to ensure that by investigation, negotiation and enforcement that tenants comply with their conditions of tenancy, particularly with regard to nuisance and anti -social behaviour.

You will be expected to assist in the collection of witness statements and evidence for cases referred to the Tenancy Enforcement Officer. Obtain comprehensive profile information and ensure that information is used Increase engagement with the traveller community both on the site and in settled accommodation.

As a Traveller Site Officer, you will be required to engage with partner agencies both internally and externally and attend relevant meetings. Maintain a waiting list, allocate vacant pitches and undertake the sign-up process for all new tenants.

An important part of your role will be to manage rent arrears prevention and collection to include the maximisation of tenant's incomes. The collection of electricity sales monies on a weekly basis.

You will have to act as primary officer for every tenant on the site, undertaking daily contact with tenants and their representatives concerning any aspect of day to day management, conditions of tenancy, including property inspections, accompanied viewings, signups and new tenant visits.

Part of your role will be to provide advice on maximising income, minimising arrears levels and attendance at evictions. To protect the revenue and expenditure stream whilst taking appropriate actions aimed at ensuring tenancy sustainment.

You will need to ensure all computerised and manual recording systems are updated and maintained on an accurate and timely basis, and that all service requests are responded to within the prescribed timescales.

Furthermore, you will need to provide as required written reports in relation to issues and events related to the site.
