We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Educational Psychologist to join the Swindon Educational Psychology Service. This is an excellent opportunity to support children and young people within a forward-thinking and supportive local authority.

Key Details:

Assessments are allocated on a two-day per assessment basis

Payment made upon submission of completed reports

Work in line with AEP guidance

The position is ongoing, with continued opportunities while vacancies exist in the service

Requirements:

HCPC registration as an Educational Psychologist

Availability to start as soon as possible

Willingness to work on-site in Swindon (remote working considered)

Two anonymised reports required for compliance and shortlisting

Swindon Educational Psychology Service is seeking skilled and motivated Locum Educational Psychologists to support our team in delivering high-quality statutory advice for Education, Health and Care Needs (EHCN) assessments.

Daily Rate: £628.71 (Limited/Umbrella)
Assessment Rate: £1,257.42 per EHCP Assessment
Location: Swindon (In-person preferred remote considered)
Contract: Ongoing, flexible locum opportunity

Key Information:
Assessment Model: Two days allocated per assessment payment upon submission of the final report.

Work Arrangement:

Face-to-face assessments in Swindon schools preferred.

Remote assessments considered in line with AEP Guidance for Remote Working.

Report writing and admin can be completed remotely.

Support:

Access to a centrally located office base in Swindon.

Informal support and supervision offered on a needs-led basis.

Option to join monthly virtual CPD sessions and team meetings.

Equipment: Suitable IT equipment will be provided.

Innovative Practice: Opportunity to contribute to the pilot of the DfE National Template for EPs.

Additional Opportunities:
Co-production meetings available, with 1.5 hours allocated per child or young person.
