North East Lincolnshire Council is seeking an experienced Team Manager to lead the Children and Families Team. This is a safer recruitment role, and candidates must ensure full compliance with safeguarding procedures.

As a Team Manager, you will provide strong and decisive leadership, ensuring the highest standards in practice, performance, and outcomes for children and families. You will work autonomously, supervise staff, and collaborate closely with multi-agency partners to deliver holistic, child-centered interventions.

Provide leadership and day-to-day management of a statutory social work team.

Supervise and support staff with reflective supervision, coaching, mentoring, and professional development.

Manage the quality and impact of decisions, ensuring best outcomes for children and families.

Lead complex casework decision-making within delegated authority.

Ensure effective allocation of workloads and oversight of all case progression.

Promote relational practice and multi-agency collaboration, offering professional challenge where required.

Ensure timely assessments, planning, reviews, and robust step-down processes with engaged partners.

Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.

Proven experience managing social work teams within children's services.

Strong leadership and supervision skills.

Deep understanding of safeguarding legislation, risk management, and relational practice.

Ability to manage complex decision-making and work autonomously.
