Lancashire County Council is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Adult Social Worker to join our Preston Community Team, with a particular focus on supporting adults with Learning Disabilities and Autism (LDA). About the Role:
As part of the community team, you will:
Carry out strengths-based assessments to identify eligible needs.
Work collaboratively with individuals, families, carers and partner agencies.
Develop and review care and support plans that promote independence and well-being.
Apply legislation including the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding frameworks.
Engage with complex casework and support best outcomes for service users with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism.
About You:
We are looking for someone who:
Is a qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England (SWE).
Has experience or interest in Learning Disabilities and Autism (LDA).
Demonstrates strong assessment, communication and partnership-working skills.
Has a sound understanding of relevant social care legislation and its application in practice.
Works well independently and as part of a supportive team.
