Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist to support ICU patients across sites within the East Area Inpatient Therapy Team. This position sits within the Unplanned Care Division and focuses on delivering high-quality occupational therapy interventions to critically ill patients, promoting early rehabilitation and safe discharge planning.

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver specialised occupational therapy assessment and treatment for patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Formulate and implement treatment programmes tailored to individual patient needs.

Work as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team, contributing to clinical decision-making and patient-centred care planning.

Provide clinical reasoning and justification for the use of adaptive equipment and therapy interventions.

Maintain accurate, timely documentation in line with professional standards and trust policies.

Support patient flow by contributing to timely and safe discharges.

Essential Requirements:
HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.

Recent experience working in acute inpatient or ICU settings.

Strong communication, clinical reasoning, and MDT working skills.

Ability to manage a varied caseload and work independently within a fast-paced environment.
