Are you a dedicated and compassionate social worker looking to make a positive impact in the lives of children and families? The Connected Carers Team in Durham is seeking a qualified Children's Social Worker (SSW) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work collaboratively with children, families, and partner agencies to promote the well-being and safeguarding of vulnerable children and young people.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting assessments and developing care plans tailored to the needs of children and families. Providing ongoing support and intervention to children and their caregivers, ensuring their safety and emotional well-being. Collaborating with schools, health services, and other agencies to coordinate services and resources. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in compliance with legal and organizational requirements. Participating in team meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance your practice and contribute to team goals.

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England or equivalent regulatory body. Experience working with children and families in a social work capacity. Strong assessment, analytical, and communication skills. The ability to work effectively in a team and manage a caseload efficiently.

Join our dedicated Connected Carers Team in Durham as a Children's Social Worker, where you will play a crucial role in supporting children and families within the community. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure the safety, well-being, and development of children in care. Your expertise will help us provide high-quality services that meet the diverse needs of children and their families.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

Conducting assessments and developing care plans for children in need. Building strong relationships with children, families, and foster carers to support their emotional and social development. Collaborating with schools, health professionals, and other agencies to ensure comprehensive support for children. Maintaining accurate case records and documentation in line with statutory requirements. Participating in team meetings and contributing to the continuous improvement of service delivery.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in working with children and families, preferably in a social work setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children and families. Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
