Surrey County Council is seeking a passionate and experienced CWD Social Worker to join their team in Woking. This role focuses on supporting children and young people with complex needs and disabilities, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care and protection.
Key Responsibilities Include:Undertaking statutory assessments and reviews under the Children Act 1989
Working closely with families and multi-agency professionals to develop support plans
Carrying out Child in Need, Child Protection, and Looked After Children responsibilities
Contributing to Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) where applicable
Writing court reports and attending legal proceedings when required
Promoting independence, inclusion, and safeguarding for children with disabilities
Required Qualifications & Skills:Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
Experience in a Children with Disabilities or complex needs team
Minimum 2-3 years post-qualified experience
Strong understanding of legislation around disability and safeguarding
A driver with access to a vehicle

Surrey County Council is recruiting for an experienced Assessment Social Worker to join their Weybridge-based team. This frontline position focuses on safeguarding children and young people through robust, timely assessments.
Key Responsibilities Include:Undertaking statutory s.17 and s.47 assessments
Responding promptly to safeguarding concerns and referrals
Building strong relationships with children and families to assess risk and need
Working collaboratively with multi-agency professionals
Preparing clear, evidence-based reports to support decision-making and court proceedings
Managing caseloads within statutory timeframes
Required Qualifications & Skills:Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
