Hull City Council is currently seeking a dedicated Fostering Social Worker to join their team. This role primarily involves supporting mainstream foster carers, with some involvement in kinship care and a mix of assessment work, including viability assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing support to mainstream foster carers
Undertaking kinship and viability assessments
Attending out-of-hours visits and events when required
Office-based role with flexible, responsive working as needed

Hull City Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join the Child Protection (CP) Team. This role is critical in safeguarding children and ensuring their safety and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a caseload of children under Child Protection (CP) plans, ensuring their safety and well-being.
* Conduct thorough assessments and develop care plans to address identified risks and support children and families.
* Work closely with multi-agency professionals to deliver coordinated services and interventions.
* Attend and contribute to Child Protection conferences, court proceedings, and multi-disciplinary meetings.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records, ensuring compliance with statutory guidelines and local policies.
* Provide ongoing support to children and families, ensuring the best possible outcomes.
Essential Requirements:
* Qualified and registered Social Worker with Social Work England.
* Significant experience in Child Protection (CP) and safeguarding.
* Strong knowledge of child protection legislation, policies, and procedures.
* Excellent assessment, report-writing, and communication skills.
* Ability to manage complex caseloads and work collaboratively with other professionals.
