Practice Lead - Adult Social Care
Location: Slough
Rate: £38.86 per hour
Contract: Locum
Type: Full-Time

We are currently seeking an experienced Practice Lead to join the Adult Social Care team in Slough on a locum basis, offering a competitive hourly rate of £38.86.

This role requires a strong leader who can work within a multi-disciplinary Locality team, delivering strengths-based social care in the community. The successful candidate will plan and ensure progress within defined policies and procedures, while also contributing to improvements in practice and handling complex casework where required.

Key responsibilities include:

Planning and prioritising your own workload and that of a small team (if line management responsibilities apply).

Supervising Social Workers and Social Work Assistants.

Supporting the Locality Team Manager with delegated responsibilities related to service delivery and team development.

Putting forward recommendations to improve working practices and contributing to casework discussions involving complex situations.

Ensuring compliance with legislation and policy within all decision-making and case recording.

Requirements:

Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.

Significant experience within Adult Social Care, preferably in a Locality or community setting.

Proven experience in supervision and leadership roles.

Strong understanding of the Care Act and a strengths-based approach to practice.
