Bolton Council is seeking a skilled professional to join the North Neighbourhood Team on a hybrid working basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Undertake strengths-based assessments under the Care Act 2014
Coordinate care and support plans for adults with complex needs
Work in partnership with health services, families, and other professionals
Conduct safeguarding enquiries and support service users to live independently
Maintain accurate and timely case records
Requirements:
Qualified Social Worker with SWE registration
Experience in adult social care (local authority preferred)
Strong knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g. Care Act, Mental Capacity Act)
Ability to manage a caseload efficiently and independently
DBS check (enhanced, adults)

We are looking for a committed Qualified Social Worker to join the Safeguarding Adult Team in Bolton.
You'll be part of a small, supportive team delivering safeguarding services across the borough. The role includes a mix of duty work (2 days/week) and managing your own Section 42 enquiries, ensuring that statutory responsibilities under the Care Act 2014 are met.
Key Duties:
Screen safeguarding referrals as part of the duty rota
Manage and investigate Section 42 safeguarding enquiries
Conduct Mental Capacity Assessments and Best Interest decisions
Work in line with Bolton's safeguarding policy and procedure
Requirements:
Qualified Social Worker (SWE Registered)
Knowledge of Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act
Strong safeguarding and risk assessment experience
Enhanced DBS (on update service preferred)
