Join our dedicated Children’s Social Work - Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team in Suffolk, where you will play a vital role in supporting children and their families. We are seeking a qualified and passionate Social Worker to provide high-quality assessments, interventions, and support to children with disabilities and their families. You will work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including schools, health services, and community organizations, to ensure the best outcomes for our children.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of children with disabilities and their families to identify needs and develop effective support plans. Providing direct support and intervention to children and their families, promoting their well-being and safeguarding. Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to coordinate services and resources for children. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in accordance with legal and organizational standards. Participating in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in the field.

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

A relevant social work qualification (e.g., degree in Social Work or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience working with children with disabilities and knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. The ability to work effectively within a team and independently, managing a caseload efficiently.

This locum position offers a hybrid working arrangement, combining both home working and visits to office or client premises. This role is an excellent opportunity for a skilled social worker who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Conducting complex assessments to determine eligibility for services and developing tailored care plans.

Collaborating with clients, carers, and other professionals to ensure the delivery of effective and timely interventions.
