We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our MASH (Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub) team in Oldham, offering a competitive rate of £39 per hour. As part of the MASH team, you will play a vital role in safeguarding vulnerable individuals and ensuring their wellbeing.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting assessments and investigations to identify the needs and risks of children and families. Collaborating with various agencies and professionals to develop and implement effective safeguarding plans. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in accordance with statutory requirements. Providing support and guidance to families, helping them access relevant services and resources. Participating in team meetings and contributing to the continuous improvement of service delivery.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, CQSW, DipSW). Registration with Social Work England. Significant experience in child protection, safeguarding, and social work practice. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multi-agency environment. Excellent analytical and assessment skills, with a keen eye for detail.

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Children’s Social Worker to join our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) Team in Oldham. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding children and supporting families in need. You will be responsible for assessing and managing referrals, working collaboratively with partner agencies, and implementing effective interventions to ensure the safety and well-being of children in our community.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify their needs and risks. Developing and implementing child protection plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with local policies and procedures. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to strategy discussions. The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

We are currently seeking an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join Oldham Council's Learning Disability & Autism Team (LDAT). This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a well-established, multidisciplinary team and contribute to vital work supporting adults with learning disabilities and/or autism.

Team Structure Includes:

1 Social Care Lead

2 Senior Practitioners

5 G7 Social Workers

5 G6 Social Workers

1.5 G5 ASC Practitioners

2 G5 Social Work Apprentices

Key Responsibilities:

Manage complex cases, including Court of Protection and DoLS applications

Review case notes, liaise with professionals, and assess suitability for social work involvement

Carry out needs assessments for service users, carers, and families

Develop and maintain person-centred Care & Support Plans

Promote and support Self-Directed Care and Individual Budgets

Identify, assess, and manage risk act decisively in safeguarding and crisis situations

Prepare for and attend Court hearings, panels, reviews, and case conferences

Maintain up-to-date and accurate records on Frameworki or similar systems

Work in partnership with internal and external agencies, advocating on behalf of service users

What We're Looking For:

Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration

Experience working in adult services, particularly with learning disabilities and autism

Strong working knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and relevant safeguarding legislation

Proven experience managing complex cases and court processes

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high-performing team

Additional Information:

This is a fast-paced role-you'll need to hit the ground running

Ongoing training, supervision, and support provided
