Join our dedicated team in Shropshire as a Qualified Social Worker in the Children's Duty & Assessment Team. We are seeking a passionate and skilled individual who is committed to making a positive impact in the lives of children and families. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will assess and respond to the needs of children at risk, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing effective intervention plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Providing support and guidance to families to promote positive outcomes for children. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with local policies and legislation. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to child protection conferences.To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in children's social work, particularly in duty and assessment settings. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
