Join our dedicated Family Safeguarding Team in Southampton as a Children's Social Worker, where you will play a vital role in safeguarding and improving the lives of children and families in our community. This position offers a unique opportunity to work collaboratively with families, agencies, and professionals to ensure the safety and well-being of vulnerable children. You will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing support plans, and implementing interventions that promote positive outcomes for children and their families.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing effective care plans in collaboration with families and relevant stakeholders. Providing ongoing support and guidance to families, ensuring they have access to necessary resources and services. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in compliance with local authority policies. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to safeguarding discussions and decisions.The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications and skills, including:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Demonstrated experience in children's social work, particularly in safeguarding. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound judgments under pressure.
