Are you a passionate and dedicated social worker looking to make a difference in the lives of children and families? Join our Family Safeguarding Team in Somerset as a Children’s Social Worker. In this vital role, you will work collaboratively with families to promote their wellbeing and safeguard children from harm, ensuring they have the support they need to thrive. Your expertise will help us build strong relationships with families, empowering them to make positive changes in their lives.
As a Children’s Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify their needs and risks. Developing and implementing care plans that promote the safety and welfare of children. Working closely with multi-disciplinary teams, including health, education, and community services. Providing ongoing support and guidance to families to help them achieve their goals. Maintaining accurate records and documentation in line with statutory requirements and best practice.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience working in a children’s social work setting, particularly in safeguarding. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with families.
