About the RoleWakefield Council is currently seeking an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join their Localities Safeguarding Team based in Airedale, Castleford. This is a fast-paced yet highly supportive service working with children and families who are at risk of significant harm.
The team undertakes statutory safeguarding work, including child protection, child in need, and care proceedings. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, child-focused social work practice in line with legislative and policy frameworks.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage a caseload involving children subject to CIN and CP plans
Undertake Section 47 enquiries, assessments, and direct work with families
