We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Adults Locality Team Manager to join our dynamic team in Herefordshire. In this role, you will lead a team of qualified social workers and support staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to adults in our community. You will play a critical role in promoting independence, safeguarding vulnerable adults, and enhancing their overall well-being. Key responsibilities include:

Managing and supervising a team of social workers, providing guidance and support in complex case management. Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and best practice standards in adult social care. Developing and implementing service delivery plans that align with local and national policies. Building strong relationships with partner agencies, community organizations, and stakeholders. Monitoring team performance and implementing strategies for continuous improvement.

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

A relevant social work qualification (e.g., DipSW, BA/MA in Social Work). Current registration with Social Work England. Significant experience in adult social work, with a focus on locality-based services. Strong leadership and management capabilities, with a proven track record in team development. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse groups.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Herefordshire - Adults Locality Team Manager to join our team on a contractual basis at a competitive rate of £42 per hour. As a vital member of our Qualified Social Work field, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing a team to deliver high-quality services to adults in the Herefordshire area.

Key responsibilities and duties:

Lead and manage a team of social workers and support staff to ensure the effective delivery of services to adults in the locality. Provide supervision, support, and guidance to team members, promoting professional development and ensuring high standards of practice. Oversee and manage complex cases, conducting assessments, and developing care plans in line with relevant legislation and policies. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote partnership working and integrated service delivery. Monitor team performance, outcomes, and quality of service provision, implementing improvements where necessary.

Essential qualifications and skills:

Qualified Social Worker with a relevant social work qualification and registration with Social Work England. Demonstrable experience in a managerial or supervisory role within adult social care services. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to adult social work. Location: Herefordshire
Rate: £38.77 per hour
Contract Type: Locum
Hours: 37 hours per week
Mileage: £0.45 per mile

Herefordshire Council is seeking an experienced Team Manager to lead a targeted assurance process within Adult Social Care. This pivotal role involves conducting a structured programme of case file audits-aimed at reviewing 100 cases-to identify areas of strength and weakness in frontline practice.

The outcome of this work will support better service delivery, enhance practice, and provide accountability to service users and stakeholders. This is a time-limited, high-impact project that will result in a formal report with actionable recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:
Audit case files and assess quality of frontline practice

Identify trends, gaps, and best practices

Provide evidence-based recommendations for improvement

Collaborate with senior leadership to deliver outcomes

Compile a final assurance report

Requirements:
Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration

Experience at Team Manager or Senior Practitioner level

Strong background in adult social care auditing or quality assurance

Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
