Location: Keynsham Civic Centre / Bath and North East Somerset (Hybrid)
Pay Rate: Competitive (please enquire)

Working Pattern: Full-time, Hybrid (Average 2 days on-site)
Overview:
Bath and North East Somerset Council is seeking an experienced and proactive Deputy Team Manager to lead and manage the Annual Reviewing Team. This team is responsible for completing Care Act Reviews for adults receiving commissioned care packages from the local authority.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day supervision for 4 Social Care Practitioners and 1 Administrator
Review and authorise Care Act Assessments and Reviews
Support staff with Mental Capacity Assessments and care planning
Offer advice and guidance, including signposting to appropriate services
Participate in the Learning Disability Service duty rota (average 1 day per week)
Respond to new referrals
Handle care package queries
Conduct Safeguarding triage
Lead project-based work focused on targeted reviews for specific service user groups
Service User Groups Include:
Older Adults
Individuals with Learning Disabilities
Individuals with Autism
Working Model:
This is a hybrid position, with an expectation of an average of 2 days per week on-site at Keynsham Civic Centre or within the Bath and North East Somerset area.
Requirements:
Qualified Social Worker with valid Social Work England registration
Strong knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding procedures
Previous experience in a supervisory or management capacity is essential
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced environment

Bath & North East Somerset Council has one overriding purpose - to improve people's lives. We now have an exciting opportunity for a Team Manager to join our Adult Social Care - First Response Team, part of the Social Care Assessment Service (SCAS).
This team acts as the first point of contact for members of the public and professionals needing Adult Social Care support, either for individuals not previously known to the service or those known but without an allocated worker. The service covers both hospital discharge and Discharge to Assess (D2A) pathways.
About the Role:
As Team Manager, you will supervise and support a small team comprising Social Workers, Social Care Practitioners, and Care Advisors. Key responsibilities include:
Providing leadership and assisting the Service Manager with triaging, prioritising, monitoring, and reviewing workloads.
Supervising social care professionals, promoting development, and offering support and mentoring.
Embedding quality practice and supporting the team to deliver high standards of care.
Acting as a link between frontline staff and senior leadership within Adult Social Care.
Chairing Multi-Agency Risk Management Meetings (MARMs) and other case conferences.
Undertaking risk assessments and leading on safeguarding enquiries under Section 42.
About You:
Qualified Social Worker (Degree in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work, CQSW, or equivalent).
Registered with Social Work England.
Minimum of two years' experience in a statutory Adult Social Care setting.
Experience working with Autistic adults.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
