This flexible, community-based role plays a vital part in promoting independence and reducing the need for ongoing care and support. About the Role: As part of a focused project, you will work with service users receiving double handed care to assess whether care packages can be optimised using moving and handling equipment, specialist advice, and support for care staff. You'll contribute to enabling single handed care, improving outcomes and independence for clients. To ensure that all claims for Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support are processed accurately and within the targeted timescales by correctly calculating income and rent details and inputting the personal details of claimants onto the computer system. To amend, cancel and suspend benefit claims effectively, to avoid underpayment/overpayment of Housing and Council Tax Support. Within the Housing and Council Tax Support regulations and in accordance with the Council's policy guidelines, to recover overpaid benefit.
