Location: Hamadryad Community Health Team Centre Pay Rate: £41 per hour IR35: Inside IR35 Start Date: 25/05/2025 End Date: 24/08/2025 Hours: 37 per week (Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm) Cardiff Council is seeking an experienced Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) to join their Mental Health Team on a locum basis. This position is based within the People & Communities Directorate and requires a committed and capable practitioner to support the service during a period of shortfall. ? Role Overview: You will be working as part of the Hamadryad Community Mental Health Team to carry out statutory duties under the Mental Health Act. Your responsibilities will include: Undertaking Mental Health Act assessments Ensuring service users are supported in accordance with the principles of the Care Act and Mental Capacity Act Providing guidance and advice to other professionals across agencies ? This is an exciting opportunity with excellent rates of pay in a Children Team Pay rate up to £41ph. 3 month contract but likely reviewed. Cardiff is a beautiful city area with gorgeous beaches. An exciting opportunity has become available for a qualified Social Worker to join the Fostering Service as an Assessment social worker. This would include the completion of Special Guardianship assessments and Connected Person Assessments including conversion assessments for those carers pursuing a Special Guardianship arrangement. This is an exciting time to join Cardiff, which is an Authority on the implementation journey that uses strengths based practice in their approach to working with children and their families. We are looking for a qualified social worker with experience of supporting foster carers and cared for children and young people to join us in our stable and experienced mainstream fostering team. You will be responsible for supervising foster carers, as well as participating our duty service in which you will assist in identifying matches for young people who need to be cared for. The role also involves participating in recruitment activities and foster carer events. You will be required to have a good working knowledge of legislation related to cared for children and the regulatory requirements related to local authority fostering services.
