We are looking for an experienced social worker who has an all round knowledge of child protection. 37 hrs per week, £38.00 per hour LTD rate, minimum of 2 days in the office, negotiable with manager on which days. There is a high expectation to pick up work and to hit the ground running. The Service is on an improvement journey and we need experienced, confident and competent workers to work with us to get to outstanding. The MASH service in North Somerset are recruiting a highly motivated and talented Social Worker with experience in Children's Services to join their team in Weston Super Mare. As a temporary member of staff you will be considered an integral part of this team. 37 hours a week, 3 month+ contracts on a rate of £40 The team operates a multi-agency approach, operating effectively and efficiently to deliver the best possible outcomes for children, young people and families. You will be required to act quickly, in a coordinated and consistent way. So working well under pressure and to tight deadlines will be an expectation. You will have the ability to write succinct evidence based reports and present social care information and issues that can impact on the risk or needs assessment of the child/young person. This may involve disclosing proportionate and relevant information related to the parents/cares or siblings. Although at times this role can be highly demanding, it is an office based role with minimal travel. This is a fantastic opportunity, especially for somebody who would like to step away from a case holding team and community visits.
