I'm currently recruiting for an experienced Support & Wellbeing Advisor to join a specialist organisation supporting veterans and individuals with complex needs on a 6 month agency contract.
The role would suit candidates with backgrounds in wellbeing, social care, welfare, housing support, community support, advocacy or case management.
Location: Glasgow
Contract: 6 Months Initially
Rate: £26-28ph Umbrella
Hours: Full Time 37.5 Hours
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a varied caseload of service users
- Providing holistic wellbeing and welfare support
- Supporting vulnerable individuals, including those in crisis
- Working alongside statutory and third sector partners
- Delivering trauma-informed support plans
- Maintaining accurate case records and outcome reporting
Candidates with experience in any of the following environments are encouraged to apply:

- Housing support
- Mental health/community support
- Welfare rights
- Social Care
- Complex needs support
To be considered, you should have:
- Previous case management/support experience
- Experience supporting vulnerable adults or complex needs clients
- Strong safeguarding awareness

Role Overview
Reading Borough Council is seeking an experienced Locum Case Manager, also known as a Court Progression Manager, to join their Joint Legal Team. This temporary role plays a critical part in ensuring the timely progression of care proceedings and child protection cases, supporting social work teams, and driving improvements in practice.
The successful candidate will act as a key point of contact between social workers, team managers, and Assistant Directors of Children's Services, providing oversight, guidance, and quality assurance for cases in both pre-proceedings and court proceedings.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and track cases in pre-proceedings and court proceedings, ensuring compliance with statutory timescalesProvide oversight, guidance, and challenge to social work teams to drive case progressionAnalyse case progression, identify causes of delay, and escalate concerns where necessarySupport preparation of written evidence and reports for courtAttend Legal Planning / Gateway meetings and monthly tracking meetingsDrive improvements through quality assurance, monitoring, and performance trackingWork collaboratively with social workers, team managers, legal teams, and other stakeholdersMaintain high professional standards while managing competing prioritiesEssential Requirements
Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registrationSubstantial experience within family justice, including care proceedings and complex child protection casesExcellent communication, organisational, and coaching skillsStrong analytical skills with the ability to manage competing prioritiesHighly resilient, proactive, and able to work autonomouslyWillingness to attend client offices (Wokingham & Bracknell) up to once a week / fortnight if requiredBenefits of Working with Eden Brown Synergy
