Lincolnshire County Council is looking for an experienced Children's Social Worker to join their Adoption Service. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children throughout their adoption journey and contribute to achieving positive permanency outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:Work in collaboration with FAST colleagues to twin-track cases with a potential plan for adoption
Complete Child Permanence Reports and Placement Order reports for scrutiny by the ADM and the courts
Provide ongoing support to children in care who have a plan for adoption
Undertake statutory visits, contribute to reviews, and lead on family finding and matching
Support children and families through to the adoption order stage
Produce Life Story Books and Later Life Letters
Work closely with birth family members as part of the support process
Willingness to travel for out-of-county placements across the Family Adoption Links region and beyond
Requirements:Qualified Social Worker (SWE registered)
Substantial post-qualifying experience in adoption, permanence, or children in care
Strong report writing skills and understanding of care planning for adoption
Driving license and access to a vehicle for travel as needed
