Location: Barking Town Hall, IG11 7LU
Pay Rate: £45.20 per hour Umbrella
Working Pattern: Hybrid
Barking & Dagenham Council is seeking an experienced Team Manager to join their Family Support & Safeguarding Team on a locum basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to lead a frontline safeguarding team, providing management oversight and professional support to social workers working with children and families. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving high-quality practice, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and achieving positive outcomes for children.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and supervise a team of social workers within the Family Support & Safeguarding Service.Provide leadership, guidance, and oversight of complex child protection, CIN, and court cases.Ensure timely assessments, planning, and interventions in line with legislation and best practice.Monitor team performance and support continuous improvement.Promote strong partnership working with internal and external agencies.Ensure safeguarding remains at the centre of all decision-making.Requirements:
