Pay Rate: £30.57 per hour (Umbrella)
Location: B6 4DU, Birmingham

Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Qualified Social Worker to join the Child Protection / Child in Need (CP/CIN) Team at Birmingham Children's Trust.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy frontline team, managing complex Child Protection and Child in Need cases while supporting children and families through effective assessment, intervention and safeguarding. As a Senior Social Worker, you will also provide guidance and mentoring to colleagues, promoting high-quality practice and positive outcomes.

Key Skills Required:

Experience within Child Protection, Child in Need, Safeguarding or Assessment TeamsStrong knowledge of statutory children's social care legislation and safeguarding practiceExperience managing complex caseloads and completing statutory assessmentsAbility to support and mentor less experienced practitionersExcellent communication, report writing and multi-agency working skillsSocial Work England registration required

Essential Requirements:

Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalentRegistered with Social Work EnglandPrevious experience within Children's ServicesStrong knowledge of statutory safeguarding legislation and children's social care practice

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our Child Protection/Children in Need (CP/CIN) Team in Birmingham. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable children and families. As a Senior QSW, you will lead assessments, provide expert guidance to junior staff, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality services. Your commitment to promoting positive outcomes for children and families will be essential in this challenging yet rewarding position.

Key responsibilities include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing intervention plans for children and families in need. Providing supervision and support to junior social workers, ensuring best practices are followed. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with local authority policies. Collaborating with external agencies, schools, and healthcare providers to coordinate services. Participating in court proceedings and presenting evidence as required.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Extensive experience in child protection and safeguarding practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with children and families. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
