Join our dedicated Family Safeguarding Team in Bury as a Qualified Social Worker (QSW) and make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing the needs of vulnerable children and their families, developing and implementing effective intervention plans, and ensuring the safety and well-being of those in your care. Your expertise will be critical in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including health and education professionals, to deliver holistic support.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify risks and needs. Developing, implementing, and reviewing care plans in partnership with families and relevant stakeholders. Providing ongoing support and guidance to families in crisis, ensuring their voices are heard. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with local policies and procedures. Participating in regular team meetings and training sessions to enhance practice and share knowledge.To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in child protection and safeguarding practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse families.
