In this vital role, you will work directly with families involved in court proceedings, ensuring that the voices of children are heard and their best interests are prioritized. As a Family Court Advisor, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments of children and families, gathering relevant information to inform court decisions. Preparing written reports for court that reflect the needs and wishes of the children involved. Facilitating meetings and liaising with parents, guardians, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each case. Providing expert advice and support to the courts regarding children’s welfare and safeguarding issues. Maintaining accurate records and case files in compliance with CAFCASS policies and procedures.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England (SWE). Significant experience in child protection and family court settings. Strong analytical and report-writing skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
