Cheshire West is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Family Safeguarding Team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of children and families within our community. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with families and partner agencies to promote the safety and well-being of children, ensuring their best interests are at the forefront of all decisions.
In this role, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of children and families. Developing and implementing tailored intervention plans to support families in crisis. Working collaboratively with multi-agency partners to safeguard children and promote positive outcomes. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with statutory requirements and agency policies. Providing support and guidance to families, helping them to access appropriate services and resources. Participating in team meetings and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement within the team.To be considered for this position, you must hold a relevant social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. Essential skills include strong assessment and analytical abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a solid understanding of child protection legislation and safeguarding practices. Experience in working within a Family Safeguarding framework is highly desirable.
