Join our dedicated Front Door Team in Devon as a Children's Assistant Social Worker (ASW) and make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families. In this dynamic role, you will be the first point of contact for families seeking support, providing essential assessments and interventions to ensure the safety and well-being of children. Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting initial assessments and identifying the needs of children and families. Collaborating with multi-agency partners to create comprehensive support plans. Documenting case notes and maintaining accurate records in compliance with statutory requirements. Providing practical support and advice to families to promote positive outcomes. Participating in team meetings and contributing to service development initiatives.To be successful in this role, you will need the following essential qualifications and skills:
A relevant degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification. Registration with Social Work England (SWE). Strong understanding of child protection legislation and safeguarding practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
