We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker to join our CWD Team in Islington. As a vital member of the team, you will be responsible for providing support and intervention to children with disabilities and their families, ensuring their well-being and promoting positive outcomes.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
Assessing the needs of children with disabilities and developing care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Providing direct support and advocacy for children and families to access appropriate services and resources. Participating in multidisciplinary meetings and reviews to monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed. Working closely with external agencies and partners to coordinate holistic support for children with disabilities. Completing detailed and accurate case recordings and reports to maintain up-to-date records.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
Qualified Social Worker with relevant experience in children's services, preferably within the field of disabilities. Registration with Social Work England and a commitment to continuous professional development. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children, families, and colleagues. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, demonstrating resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to safeguarding and child protection.Additional requirements for this role include:
Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends to accommodate the needs of children and families. A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for travel within the community.
