Join our dedicated team at Barnet as a Children's Social Worker within the Drug and Alcohol (D&A) Team, where you will play a vital role in supporting children and families affected by substance misuse. As a Children’s SSW, you will work collaboratively with families, professionals, and community organizations to ensure the safety and well-being of children, while promoting positive outcomes through tailored interventions and support strategies.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children's needs and risks related to substance misuse. Developing and implementing effective care plans in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams. Providing ongoing support and guidance to families, ensuring they have access to necessary resources and services. Maintaining accurate and timely records of casework, assessments, and interventions. Participating in team meetings and contributing to service development initiatives.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (Degree in Social Work or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Experience in children's social work, particularly with substance misuse issues. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to develop effective intervention strategies.
