Are you a passionate and dedicated social worker looking to make a difference in the lives of children and families? Lewisham's Multi Agency Child Protection Team is seeking a qualified Children’s Social Worker (SSW) to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with various agencies to ensure the safety and well-being of vulnerable children in our community.
As a Children’s Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments and developing care plans for children and families in need of support. Working closely with multi-agency partners to safeguard children and promote their welfare. Managing a caseload of complex cases, ensuring timely intervention and support. Providing direct support to children and their families, facilitating access to resources and services. Documenting and maintaining accurate records in accordance with statutory requirements.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Proven experience in child protection and safeguarding practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
