Join our dedicated team at the Separated Children & Young People Service in Solihull as a Children's Social Worker (SSW). We are seeking passionate and committed individuals who are eager to make a difference in the lives of separated children and young people. In this role, you will work collaboratively with a diverse range of professionals to ensure the safety, well-being, and development of vulnerable children and young people in our care.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting thorough assessments of the needs of separated children and young people. Developing and implementing care plans in partnership with children, families, and other agencies. Providing ongoing support and guidance to children and young people, ensuring their voices are heard. Managing a caseload effectively while maintaining accurate and timely documentation. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to safeguarding discussions.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Current Social Work England registration. Experience working with children and young people, particularly in a social work context. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
