Are you a passionate and dedicated Qualified Social Worker looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families? The Isle of Wight is seeking a Children's Social Worker (SSW) to join our Support and Protection Team. In this rewarding role, you will work collaboratively with children, families, and other professionals to ensure the safety and well-being of vulnerable children within our community.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting assessments and developing care plans that prioritize the needs and safety of children. Working closely with families to provide support, guidance, and intervention as needed. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach to child protection. Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of casework and reporting to management as required. Participating in court proceedings and providing expert testimony when necessary.

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Experience in child protection and safeguarding practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload effectively.
