As a member of our Assessment Team, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families, identifying their needs and risks. Developing and implementing tailored support plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Engaging with children and families to build trusting relationships and ensure their voices are heard. Providing expert advice and support to colleagues, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Keeping accurate and up-to-date records in line with local authority policies and procedures.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Demonstrable experience in children's social work, particularly in assessment and safeguarding. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families from diverse backgrounds. Key responsibilities and duties include:
Conducting thorough assessments to determine the needs and risks of children in kinship care Developing and implementing care plans to support the well-being and safety of children Working collaboratively with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for children Participating in case conferences, court hearings, and other relevant meetings Providing advocacy and support for children and families to access appropriate services and resourcesEssential qualifications and skills:
