Join our dedicated Children’s Social Work (C&F Team) in Derbyshire as a Qualified Social Worker, where you will play a crucial role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and families in need. In this rewarding position, you will work collaboratively with a committed team to assess, plan, and implement effective interventions that support vulnerable children and their families, ensuring they receive the care and protection they deserve.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing care plans in partnership with families and other professionals. Managing a caseload effectively, ensuring timely interventions and follow-ups. Providing support and guidance to families, empowering them to make positive changes. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in line with statutory requirements. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to safeguarding strategies.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, CQSW). Registered with Social Work England. Proven experience in children’s social work, particularly in child protection and family support. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with children and families. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload.
