Join our dedicated Children's Social Work - Children in Care (CIC) Team in Cheshire, where you will play a vital role in improving the lives of vulnerable children and their families. As a Qualified Social Worker, you will be responsible for assessing the needs of children and ensuring their safety and well-being. Your expertise will contribute to the development and implementation of care plans, working collaboratively with families, schools, and other professionals to provide the best possible support.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing, implementing, and reviewing care plans in partnership with children, families, and other agencies. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to child protection conferences. Providing support, guidance, and training to foster carers and adoptive parents.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in children's social work, particularly in a CIC setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
