We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker to join our Child Protection Team in North Yorkshire. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people at risk of harm or neglect.
Key responsibilities and duties:
Undertaking assessments and investigations to determine the needs and risks faced by children and families. Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with other professionals and agencies to ensure the safety and well-being of children. Participating in case conferences, court proceedings, and multi-agency meetings to advocate for the best interests of children. Providing support and guidance to families to address issues that may impact the welfare of children. Keeping accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions and interventions.Essential qualifications and skills:
Qualified Social Worker with a recognized social work qualification and HCPC registration. Demonstrated experience in child protection work within a statutory setting. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child protection. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children, families, and professionals effectively. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and challenging environment.Additional requirements and benefits:
