We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s Social Work - Child Protection Team in Nottingham. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and families within our community. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing the needs of children and their families, ensuring their safety, and promoting their welfare through effective interventions.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify risks and support needs. Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with families and relevant stakeholders. Managing a caseload of children in need and those subject to Child Protection Plans. Providing support and guidance to families, ensuring they have access to appropriate resources and services. Maintaining accurate and timely records in accordance with local policies and statutory requirements. Participating in multi-disciplinary meetings and court proceedings as required.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

A relevant Social Work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Proven experience in children’s social work, particularly in child protection. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a demanding caseload. Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child welfare and protection.

Are you a passionate and dedicated Qualified Social Worker looking to make a significant impact in the lives of children and families? Nottinghamshire County Council is seeking a skilled social worker to join our Children’s Social Work - Child Protection Team.
