The City of Wolverhampton Council is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of children and families in our community. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively to provide high-quality support and interventions to children with disabilities and their families.

Key responsibilities include:

Conducting assessments to identify the needs of children with disabilities and their families. Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Providing direct support and guidance to families, ensuring their voices are heard and respected. Maintaining accurate and timely records in accordance with local and national standards. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach to care and support.

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, CQSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience working with children with disabilities or in a similar setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families. Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in social work.
