Warwickshire County Council is seeking a qualified Children's Social Worker to join our Duty & Assessment Team. In this pivotal role, you will work collaboratively to assess and respond to the needs of children and young people, ensuring their safety and well-being in line with statutory guidelines.
As a Children’s Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing effective intervention plans tailored to individual circumstances. Working closely with multi-agency partners to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding. Maintaining accurate and timely records in compliance with local and national regulations. Providing support and guidance to children, families, and foster carers, promoting positive outcomes.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A relevant social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in children's social work, particularly in assessment and safeguarding. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
