Join our dedicated Family Safeguarding Team in Bury as a Children's Social Worker, where you will play a vital role in protecting and supporting vulnerable children and their families. In this position, you will work collaboratively with families, professionals, and stakeholders to ensure the safety and well-being of children within the community. You will be responsible for assessing needs, developing and implementing care plans, and providing ongoing support to families to promote positive outcomes for children.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify risks and protective factors. Developing and implementing effective intervention plans tailored to individual family needs. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in compliance with local policies and procedures. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, including health, education, and law enforcement, to coordinate services and support. Engaging with families to empower them and promote their involvement in the safeguarding process.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (Degree in Social Work or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Proven experience in children's social work, particularly in safeguarding and family support. Strong assessment, analytical, and communication skills.
