Join our dedicated Family Safeguarding Team in Cambridgeshire as a Children's Social Worker, where your expertise will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and families in our community. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with families, partner agencies, and stakeholders to provide support and interventions that foster positive outcomes for children and their families.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments of children's needs and risks, ensuring that all relevant information is gathered and analyzed. Developing and implementing effective care plans in partnership with families and other professionals. Providing direct support and guidance to families, facilitating access to services and resources. Maintaining accurate and timely case records, adhering to local and national safeguarding policies. Participating in multi-agency meetings and case reviews to coordinate care and ensure comprehensive support.The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Experience working with children and families in a statutory setting. Strong understanding of child protection legislation and safeguarding practices.
