Join our dynamic Family Support/Safeguarding Team in Lewisham as a Qualified Social Worker dedicated to making a difference in children's lives. We are seeking a passionate individual who is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and families. In this role, you will work collaboratively with families, other professionals, and stakeholders to ensure the best outcomes for children in our community.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Assessing the needs of children and families to identify risks and develop appropriate intervention plans. Conducting home visits and engaging with families to provide support and guidance. Working closely with schools, healthcare providers, and other agencies to coordinate services and support. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in compliance with local policies and procedures. Participating in team meetings and contributing to the development of best practices within the team.To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Experience in children's social work, particularly in safeguarding and family support. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with families and professionals.
